Lokar’s Column Cable Shift Linkage is the ultimate answer to interference issues when you are unable to use factory or Lokar’s hard column linkage. The cable allows you to route the cable around transmission, cross-members and brake pedals. Billet Aluminum Mounting Arm can be used on either side of the column. Designed with specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable, and stainless inner wire measuring 6 feet in length. Ready-to-install hardware and brackets included in kit – no cutting or measuring – simply bolts on.
• Suit 2 inch ARC Performance GM style columns and most GM factory columns.
• Suit GM TH350, TH400, 700-R4, TH200, 200-4R, 4L60 and 4L80E (short selector shaft only).
*For all GM Transmissions except Powerglide, 4L70E, and newer transmissions. Does not fit Ford or Chrysler Transmissions.
*This kit now works with 4L60E and 4L80E transmissions fitted with short selector shaft.
How to check the length of your selector shaft:
Measure:
- From the flat face of the transmission case (where the shaft exits)
- To the very end of the splined shaft
DO NOT measure the shift lever. DO NOT include washerts or nuts.
Typical results:
- Short selevtor shaft: ~22-28mm protrusion
- Long selector shaft: ~35-45mm protrusion
If your around 25mm, you have the SHORT style.
If you around 40mm, you have the LONG style.
